Figure Drawing from life

I attended this this afternoon to a figure drawing session after almost a year. It was awesome, I really enjoy it. I think i will go more frequently. I made this color studies on my Nintendo 3DS, I also draw on my sketchbook with ink . I had a great time!

Toned paper sketches

I recently got a toned paper sketchbook for myself, this is the first time I'm using one of this sketchbooks.  I'm really exited about it, I hope to draw a lot on it. I think it's also nice to once in a while from digital media. The sketchbook is made of kraft paper, I used a technical pen for the line, some markers for the values and also color pencils.

Mulata Sketch

A sketch I did last night using a blue color pencil and markers, trying out the cool gray markers for the first time. I've been more into the warm side, still like the warm grays better, but that's just my humble personal opinion on this subject. I'll try to do more use of this cool gray warms in the future. Please excuse the crappy photo quality.

Deangelo: The Little Dark Prince

I tried to write a little something about little fella, his name is Deangelo and he is a Dhampire, not a Vampire, according to the book "The Vampire." Journal of the Gypsy Lore Society by T.P. Vukanovic, a Dhampir  in Balkan folklore is the child of a vampire and a human. The term is sometimes spelled dhampyre, dhamphir, or dhampyr. Dhampir powers are similar to those of vampires, but without the usual weaknesses.

It's also believed that the word dhampir  derives from the Albanian language where pirё means "to drink", and dhёmbё or dham means "teeth", thus dhampir, means "to drink with teeth". The mother of this child, the Queen, it's very aware of that, since the very first moment she met the father's child. She knew the baby needed the blood to survive, in response to the uncontainable appetite of the new born she gave the royal order of making candy out of blood. The idea was effective as long as the child could feed from these lollypops and no one notice anything strange, since the people of the realm were not supposed to know the child's dark origin. The cover turned out just fine, the only problem is that the child has one weakness, and this is, the delusional voracity for bloody lollypops, witch makes him extremely hyperactive as you can imagine.

This is some sort of fan art illustration of the Croods thing I did recently for a contest of the Bacánika Magazine. Although I did not win, it was pretty fun to do the whole image, I've learned a lot in the process :)

Circus dude

I've been painting this circus dude on my phone using art studio for about two weeks, sounds like a lot of time, the reason is that I mostly painted him on the road, in restaurants while waiting for food or while I have to wait in bank. Now is finally finished! just want to share it with you guys.

Made this guy in my sketchbook at Rafa's place some weeks ago, he's a good friend of mine. I hope to take this character to the color stage one day, I wil try, and I say try because, I start working at an animation studio two days ago, so I think I will be painting only at night. I also hope to have a lot of energy to do it. Aaaand also finish a  painting that I have almost forgotten, it's about a vampire.

Made this sketch after having lunch at the usual restaurant. There was this girl in her hoodie, I found her really interesting to draw in a caricatured style, I draw this when I got home from memory.
